MSI Wind U100

The MSI Wind Notebook is a sub-notebook designed by Micro-Star International. Wind stands for "Wi-Fi Network Device". There are 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch screen versions of this mini laptop with a screen resolution of 1024x600. You have five exciting colors to choose from: Regal Red, Rose Champagne, Metallic Blue, Imperial Black and Angelic White.

There are four versions of the MSI Wind available in the US: The U100-001US; the U100-279US: the U100-280US and the U100-432US. All come with Windows XP home as the operating system and all four have a 10 inch screen.

The MSI Wind U100 is equipped with an Intel Atom processor that runs at 1.6 GHz and also features Bluetooth capabilities, WLAN and a great 1.3 MP camera.

The screen provides you with ample room to view pages from the web without having to scroll side to side and provides you a clear and bright picture.

By simply pressing the Function and F11 keys on the Wind U100, you can turn the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions on and off-a great feature that other mini laptops cannot boast of.

This 2.6 pound laptop easily slides into a handbag or slim briefcase and the low-luster finish on the casing is resistant to fingerprint smudges. The whole feel of this laptop is durable and it looks great with it's curved corners and wider keyboard. The keyboard is very spacious for a small notebook, and you can easily spend a few hours typing on it without fatigue. Indeed, the MSI Wind U100 has a very sleek form factor, similar to its bigger brother, the MSI Wind U120.

On the right side of this mini, you will find one USB port, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, mic and headphone jacks, an VGA port and the Ethernet jack. Two more USB ports are on the right side as well as the power jack line.

The MSI Wind is an impressive mini laptop. With the adult-sized keyboard, a larger 10 inch screen and a very capable Atom processor, this little laptop is a solid performer.
